Task 4:The Use of Media Technology in the Construction Research and Planning and Evaluation Stages

Digital technology has been crucial during both pre and post production stages. The digital technology that were used are digital camera including iPhone and Sony NX5, B
logger website, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Youtube, Google, and Wix website to create a website for the artist.

During preproduction, a lot of work has been put into research and planning as it is important for the campaign to be able to identify the conventions of artist and music video. According to Richard Dyer, in order to sell the artist, the star image needed to be fulfill, to achieve this I used the Google website to look into many artists' websites in order to find the convention of the real and organic artists' websites. Those website that I had looked through were of John Mayer's, Katy Perry and C2C. C2C is the original band that perform the song "Down the Road" that I choose to make the music video to promote. I also used Youtube as a part of my research as i need to look at artists that share the similar genre to my artist, Dance and alternative, as I need to look into their star images that have been successfully established and try to recreate something similar for my artist, Luella Rouge.

I also created animatic for my music video by using Sony NX5 to film the storyboard and used Final Cut Pro to edit the ruses footage from the storyboard. My personal iPhone's camera was also used to capture the process of making the animatic and research.

During postproduction, Google was also used to make a research and prepare me for making a CD digipak to help with the campaign to market my artist. CD digipak were solely made by my iphone camera and Photoshop as all the footage that are used were taken by myself and use the photoshop to edit them into the CD album cover . Website was create after the music video was made and in order to do this I used the website called "Wix". Wix is the website that enables people to create their website for their own use with free of charge. I also used Blogger website to record most, if not all, of the process during post, pre and the production stages.
